Worship Resources and Sermon Starters - "The Lazarus Effect"
These worship resources may be used on April 11, 2011 (when the story of the raising of Lazarus appears in the lectionary readings) or may be easily adapted for use on other Sundays and with other Biblical readings. The texts appointed by the Revised Common Lectionary for the Sundays throughout the season of Easter are particularly appropriate because the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ pairs easily with the story of the raising of Lazarus. Because every Sunday of the church year is a celebration of Christ’s resurrection, portions of these resources may be used on any Sunday or adapted for use on other occasions like World AIDS day (December 1).
